is that JWT uses NEW Garrett CHRA (bearing housings). For some reason rebuilding the stock housings have a history of problems...Jim Wolf tried for some time but continued to have problems with the bearings not seating properly in the housings, seemed that used ones wore and prevented new bearings to properly seat in the bore and thus wore out quickly. Also, it is pretty well accepted that carving out the compressor housing to accomodate a much larger wheel, results in a loss of effeciency as a result of modifying the diffuser (the part of the compressor housing that allows the turbo to slow air flow and create pressure in the intake manifold...this is how the T-28s are created. Sport 500s have a smaller wheel, but more effecient design and actually create more power,less heat,and a flatter power curve. By the way, the cuurent sport 550s are actually a sport 600 with a smaller turbine housing. Hope this helps (and makes sense). Take care, Mark
